THE SOUTH COAST BOB DYLAN GROUP, UK
The group was started by Graham Wilkinson in 1988: every 6-8 weeks some Dylan fans from Hampshire used to meet for an afternoon or evening of discussion about Bob Dylan. As at that time they were not all on email, they decided to send out a newsletter with details of the next meeting and some Dylan information; David Palmer was its editor. The last issue is dated 11 September 2000, then the members were all connected by email.
The title and subtitle of the newsletter changed through the years: starting with THE SOUTH COAST BOB DYLAN GROUP - OR DOWN THE BACK ROADS HEADING SOUTH, the title became for Volume 2 THE SOUTHERN COUNTIES BOB DYLAN GROUP, with various sublitles: - OR THE LADIES TREAT ME KINDLY (Volume 2, #1), - OR I'VE GOT NEW EYES (#2 and #3), - OR A LOT OF WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE (#4 and #5).
Thank you to David Palmer for information and images.
The members of the group are still friends today; here are the issues they were able to find in their files.
