Outdoor festival. The international open-air festival "Rock against Hate" from 1992 to 1997 in Lengnau (AG) and on the Platzspitz in Zurich, as well as in Leipzig (DE) and on the Piazza Grande in Locarno with Ursy and Sidney Weill as initiators and organizers, as well as Ellen Ringier as president of the then association and the Youth for Acceptance and Tolerance Foundation, contributed significantly to the creation of Open Hearts and the Open Air on the Bundesplatz.
The Open Air on the Bundesplatz is a music festival that has taken place annually since 2006 in the run-up to the national holiday on the Bundesplatz in Bern . In contrast to most music festivals in Switzerland, the Open Air on the Bundesplatz is not commercial, but socially oriented and is free for visitors.
In recent years, the Open Air on the Bundesplatz has attracted around 15,000 spectators each year.
Bob Dylan was supposed to perform at Platzspitz Festival on 15 June 1997, but due to his serious illness,
the concert was cancelled.
