The AUSTRALIAN RECORD CLUB was a mail order music/record distributor that advertised mainly in the Womens Weekly magazine. There may have been an affiliation with the magazines publisher, as the WOMEN'S WEEKLY had run its own Record Club in the 1960's. The Club also had its own magazine, which it distributed to members with special offers and stock listings.
The Australian Record Club was in existence from at least 1963 (possibly earlier) until the 1980's. Cassette Clubs and DVD Clubs are known to have existed and these may have been formed from the Australian Record Club. Thank you to Stuart Moore for the information and scans.
Here are three Dylan covers of the magazine. The dates are not noted on them, but they are probably from 1969, 1970 and 1971, when the albums presented on the front covers were released.
At least another one with a Dylan cover seems to be missing: please contribute!
