BOB
DYLAN - KÆRLIGHED, KRIG OG HISTORIE
1961-1967
'LOVE, WAR AND HISTORY 1961-1967'. In this book, love, war and history are clues for a discussion of Bob Dylan's songs, and the social and artistic contexts they were part of, in the period 1961 to 1967. The book discusses, among other things, Talkin' World War III Blues, The Times They Are A-Changin', The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll, Love Minus Zero/No Limit, and Desolation Row.
Many of Dylan's songs and performances during this period explore a wide-ranging cultural, mythological and historical baggage which is woven into contemporary social issues. The author shows how Dylan can be seen as one of rock music's unruly, mask-playing and changeable harlequins.
