MY BACK PAGES - DYLAN & EUX, by François Gorin
"A new look at Bob Dylan.
Ouch! Another bio?
Well no! Phew! François Gorin did not fall into this trouble when approaching the most elusive artist who is: Bob Dylan.
It’s from a simple YouTube video of a song by Dylan, "My Back Pages," performed live by the master and 5 other geniuses (Neil Young, Roger McGuinn, Tom Petty, George Harrison and Eric Clapton), for the 30th anniversary of Dylan’s career, in 1992 at Madison Square Garden, that this book has imposed itself on the author.
François Gorin is trying to trace the fate of the 5 disciples who surround Dylan that night, and draws a fragmented portrait of the master by going back to the genesis of this song in 1964, and the mutations that followed.
A new approach to the character and a jewel for all lovers of rock book, written by one of the greatest feathers of rock literature."
