THE BROADSIDE OF BOSTON, USA (Massachusetts)
THE BROADSIDE OF BOSTON "Folk Music and Coffee House News", was published for nine years in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Directed by David Wilson, the biweekly publication started on 8 March 1962 and ended in September 1970.
Dashed off on a mimeograph machine, the four-page first issue appeared nearly simultaneously, and entirely coincidentally, with similar Broadsides in New York and Los Angeles.
THE BROADSIDE OF BOSTON was a key resource for folk musicians and fans in New England. Written by and for members of the burgeoning scene, it was a central resource for information on folk performances and venues and throughout the region, covering coffeehouses, concert halls, festivals, and radio and television appearances.
