   PROTOS, "The Beginning" -'an independent student newspaper!, News for the 21st Century Man', edited by Leon Kaspersky from Los Angeles, California. It was a libertarian, anti-Vietnam War publication put out by southern California student activists. Contributors included Don Franzen, Dick Gregory, Ron Courtney ("The Masked Altruist" comic strip) and more.
