This rare document is proposed by MOMENTS IN TIME, a Californian auction "dedicated to the handling of only the highest quality, original historical autographs from all fields to be found anywhere in the world". This is a copy of an amendment to Bob Dylan’s will originally dated 22 September 1975, offered for sale with an estimated price of $27,500.
Bob Dylan, who signed his legal name, Robert Dylan, to the document, had earmarked $50,000 and a 10-acre home in Hennepin County, Minnesota to his younger brother, David Zimmerman, who was living the house. He also made provisions for any children who outlived him.
At the time of signing the paperwork, Bob Dylan shared five children with then-wife Sara Lownds. He went on to have daughter Desiree, now, 38, with second wife Carolyn Dennis, who he split from in 1992.
The will was updated on 26 August 1976 with the wording showing it is an amendment to a document he originally filed on 22 September the previous year.
